Local KENOSHA NEWS I MONDAY OCTOBER 29 2012 I A4 Kenosha sex offender faces charges for leaving DOC facility COURT ROOUP earlier this month Co-defendant Kativia Coleman 38 pleaded not guilty in September Both were charged in September with a felony for retail theft If convicted they each face 18 months in prison According to the criminal complaint Williams came into the store in July with Coleman and another woman then loaded a cart with nine boxes of Crest whitening strips four bottles of Advil two boxes of Nicoderm CQ nicotine patches and one package of Charmin toilet paper among other items As they approached the exit door Coleman appeared to look at a fake receipt as if they had just paid for the items They then left the store at 2820 Green Bay Road in Mount Pleasant In August a security guard from the store called Mount Pleasant police to explain he had identified Williams and Coleman in photos from a theft at a Pick Save in Kenosha parole officer later identified Williams as the shoplifter in photos from the Mount Pleasant theft No statements were available from Williams and Coleman Williams is in jail because he has not posted bond Coleman posted bond and was released No charges have been filed in Kenosha County However records show Williams got a ticket in July and was fined for retail theft in Kenosha County BY JESSSCA STEPHEN jstephenkenoshanewscom A Kenosha sex offender who left a Department of Corrections facility without permission has been charged for allegedly violating sex offender registration rules Andrew Garcia 43 was charged Oct 19 in Racine County with a felony for the alleged violation If convicted he faces three years in prison According to the criminal complaint Garcia was serving community supervision for an attempted murder conviction In August Garcia was placed at a Wisconsin Department of Correc-tions-approved residential facility in the 6700 block of 14th Avenue in Kenosha A few weeks later Garcia confirmed his new address as part of his sex offender registration On Sept 12 counselor called probation agent to report that Garcia was being disruptive and that emergency staffing was needed Before the agent could arrive to speak to Garcia the counselor said Garcia packed his belongings and left without permission the complaint says Under the sex offender registration guidelines Garcia was required to report any change of address within 10 days Authorities said he did not A warrant was issued Oct 19 and Garcia was reported in custody by Oct 22 Details of his arrest were not available but records show he is in jail because he has while trying to avoid arrest Marc A Youngberg 31 was charged in June and pleaded not guilty in August to three felonies and a misdemeanor for the May incident If convicted he faces nearly 10 years in prison A Feb 25 trial date was set during a court hearing earlier this month His next hearing is in January According to the criminal complaint police were called because Youngberg was up the and saying he the police to shoot mother said her son was depressed because of a recent breakup When police tried to talk to Youngberg they said he ran then punched an officer several times in the face Police used a Taser to try to subdue Youngberg but missed and Youngberg continued fighting before police could handcuff him One officer had a broken knuckle on his right hand The officer also had cuts and scrapes No statement from Youngberg was included in the criminal complaint He is out of jail on bond Couple plead not guilty to shoplifting in Racine County A Kenosha man and woman have pleaded not guilty to allegedly taking an estimated $850 in health and beauty products from a grocery store in Racine County Anthony Williams 41 entered the plea during a court hearing woman' The victim said she was driving in the 4900 block of 36th Street in Kenosha when she spotted the other car She stopped and tried to speak to White who ignored her so she began banging on the window The woman ran as White got out of the car and chased her She never saw a gun but the woman said White was when she saw a bright flash heard a loud bang and realized she had been shot The bullet went through her left bicep Police said the shooting appeared to have been done at close range based on stippling a pattern associated with close-range gunshot wounds around the injury the complaint says No statement from White was included in the criminal complaint but his supposed other girlfriend the woman who owned the car White had been in said White acted as if something was wrong when he came to her home that flight to drop off her car "Something he allegedly said although he did not want to talk about it White is in jail because he has not posted bond Man to go on trial for alleged assault of police officer A jury trial is scheduled for February for a Kenosha man accused of breaking a police finger not posted bond He has a hearing Nov 1 Records show Garcia was convicted of second-degree child sexual assault in October 1991 Other details of his sentence were not available but the complaint says Garcia was ordered to register for the rest of his life as a sex offender Garcia was convicted in December 2002 for attempted murder in Racine County Details of the crime were not available but records indicate he was sentenced to eight years in prison followed by 32 years community supervision Man seeks trial in alleged shooting of arm A Kenosha man has indicated he wants a trial to challenge allegations he shot a woman in the arm court records show No trial has been set in the case against Traval White who has another hearing in November White 34 was charged in September and pleaded not guilty to two felonies for alleged reckless injury and being a felon with a
